Award winning Cisco circular economy innovator Alastair Borissow joins Circularity First, helping to scale the sustainable IT movement
Circularity First Group, a leader in Sustainable IT advisory services and solutions, welcomes Alastair Borissow as Chief Growth Officer.
This role will amplify the organisation’s proven circular IT solutions and meet global customers’ sustainable IT goals throughout 2023 and beyond. Alastair joins Circularity First Founder Anthony Levy and CEO Soren Sorensen.
Anthony’s lifelong advocacy for applied sustainable technology compliments Søren’s knowledge of the European and Nordic market. Now, combined with Alastair’s track record of innovations in Circular Technology Solutions, make this tech trio a powerful supergroup bringing circularity to IT.
Alastair’s prolific rise in Sales Leadership and Channel Innovation has seen him work with, and for, the tech sector’s biggest names. His remarkable 35-year career in technology and sustainability covers all aspects of tech sales channels. From managing Global Customer sales in EMEA for Westcon-Comstor, leading Cisco’s Global Remanufactured Equipment division, Cisco Refresh, and developing corporate telecoms solutions for large multi-national clients at Telstra. His experience in technology starts at the dawn of the information era when he was selling the first IBM and compatible computers, managing a number of electronics stores, back in Australia.
Anthony Levy is delighted to join forces with a sales giant at a truly pivotal moment for IT and is confident that Alastair’s extraordinary technology credentials will blazon the circular IT movement:
“Bringing Alastair onboard is a significant development for Circularity First. His impressive history of pioneering solutions and establishing connections in the IT world will be invaluable in helping more leaders discover the universal benefits of circular IT.”
Anthony Levy, Founder of Circularity First Group
It’s safe to assume the universe conspired to bring Alastair to Circularity First. His instinctive customer centric approach complements the Group’s objective to reach more businesses that are ready to embrace circular IT. Thrilled by the opportunity to grow a company devoted to changing how the business world views and uses IT, Alastair is keen to hit the ground running. He plans to drive Circularity First into 2023 with a triple play of growing awareness, expanding customer capabilities around Circular Supply Chains, and onboarding new vendor relationships.
If growth and sustainability seem to be unlikely bedfellows, Alastair gives a clear-cut case that the opposite can be true:
“Sustainability and growth don’t have to be opposing; if you understand the concepts of a fully circular supply chain you can achieve both. Look for instance at the challenges faced by the public sector, which is having to meet stretched budgets, yet requires IT enablement to make its services more efficient. There are opportunities to embed circular IT solutions into their capabilities so they can achieve all those objectives: sustainability, reduced costs, and increased capability.”
Alastair Borissow, Chief Growth Officer at Circularity First
With Alastair’s proven successes, Circularity First adds another string to its bow of solid vendor relationships, robust supply chain solutions, and a booming sustainable technology platform. 2023 is undoubtably a year of exciting things to come for Circularity First and its customers.

The internet has a physical footprint as it requires electricity to run the datacentres, the networking infrastructure and the devices we use to access it. This electricity produces a carbon footprint. Websites that are designed in an energy efficient manner produce less carbon. The more autoplay video, high res images and content on a site, the more energy it takes to show this content- meaning a greater carbon footprint for the page.
We were inspired to build a more energy efficient site through our friend Gerry McGovern and from learning about Wholegrain digital. We consciously designed and built our site to highlight this issue and as a result this site is cleaner than most websites and we’re focussed on continually improving this.
